POETRY RANT - THE ARCHITECT OF DESTRUCTION

I am what I am
that's what I don't know.

Am I to be what's me
word flow and hone.

The next flowing words
cutting the retraced print.

All alone
In constant dribble.

Who will who
Will it be me?

Dreaming
To scream.

Whatever you do
Bleed on to the page.

Staining the question
Too bold to hold.

Dropping it square
right in front of you.

Queer
Still looking for you.

When you are there
Which right here?

Besides the kiss of death
Beeding on the page.

Committing
I am.

As the architect
of my own destruction.

Conclusion
I am not what I am.

Rather
The opposition.

POETRY RANT - FOLLOW ME

Following you, to me
Wander within dreams
Staying in arms of security
Caress gently, lovers can be
Never ending it seems
Even with miles between.

Following you, to me
Even in the darkest times
We will be found, and find
The love we've dream
An effort worth fighting
Miles conquered with me walking.

Following you, to me
Growing old but younger at heart
Each day the first time
Memory fades, but dreams
Make real each time you say "Hi"
Miles walked, dreams come true.

POETRY RANT - TILL LAST BREATH

I love the things that cannot be touched
It’s a hunger that deprives so much
I gnaw on the essence of my soul; and
The words bleed my limbs numb.

Just another poem, left out in the cold;
some say a gift of words
I say, the words haunt me
Its teeth are defined, to be one of a kind.

Every time I write about you, I die
Entrails of the heart scattered across these lines
Smeared in volumes calling to you
In the desperation that you will read just one.
Understand the yearning for you; but
Then you knew and I had no clue
You chose not to listen to a lover's cue; but
Rather have you stew.

Desperation and manipulation in mascara hues
Defining eyes, I fall under their spell
Just continue to bleed each poem
Till last breath, I fell.

POETRY RANT - MURDER RUN

MURDER CASTS SHADOWS
OVER FLOCKING DEATHLY BODIES
NEVER MORE THAN BECOMING HALLOW
CACKLES OF SOLOLIDITY
RUN DAMN IT RUN.

LEGS BECOME A FLURRY
BEHIND A THUNDEROUS FLAP
WHOOSHED BEHIND AN EERIE WIND
IT APPROACHES AS JUDGE AND JURY
RUN DAMN IT RUN.

FORWARD MOMENTUM
BRINGS DOWN SUBJECT
PECKING ORDER BEGINS ITS BID
BLINDED AND STRIPPED
A CARCASS AT LIFE'S RUN.

POETRY RANT - A CURSE IN WRITING

I SIT BEFORE BLINKING CURSOR
WITH DESK, PAPER AND PEN, I CURSE.
WORDS ELUDE WRITTEN VICE
I CRY OUT TWICE.

AS ONE IS NOT ENOUGH
IN A HUFF, I PUSH AWAY.
TAKING THE BREAK I SHOULD OF HAD
HOURS AGO, NOW I LOATH.

SMACKING FOREHEAD
JOSTLING MEMORY,
ONCE BLED.
A STORY SO TRUE.

A CURSE IT BE
TO REMEMBER SO VIVIDLY.
SO TO PAUSE

LET IT BE

BLINKING CURSOR
ON BLANK SCREEN
MY HEARSE.
TO DEATHLY GRAVE.

POETRY RANT - DRYWOOD

Neglected in all my years;

Growth of knotted admiralty.

Rain saturates roots,

washing away tears.

Standing alone;

Forget what beauty means.

Things that left our hearts.

It seems, through drought comes the floods.

Parched lips, hungry hips overwhelmed

Up to our knees in love, embedded.

Bathe in our longevity, everlasting.

This photograph was taken by Glenda Cole who saw the beauty of this piece of deadwood that sits in a farm near Petawawa.

TRAILS OF A DEAR POET

So, a good Twitter friend of mine Entirety has gone and done it. She has published her first real, tangible book, which I'm so proud and well I have to admit too a wee bit jealous too. That's ok maybe it will motivate me to do the same.

I'm tickle pink for her success because she has nothing but unfavorable luck in her life. I know that as we have both confide into lives and supported each other through the thick of things. So, I bought her book, she was happy personalize my copy.

When it finally came through the mail I was eager to crack this baby open, to find her message.

Dearest Jay,

"What a support you have been these past few years! Thank you for your friendship and for walking also side some of my journey with me."

Much love, Entirety.

Well Entirety thank you, I will cherish as part of my collection. Also, it was my pleasure to travel with you, we both helped each other through a rough patch, your friendship will always be held close. The following poem is for you.

I READ SOMETHING REMARKABLE
WITH HUMBLED WORDS
NEVER FUMBLED.

EACH BLEACHED PAGE
LEFT A MARK
MORE THAN JUST PAPER.

BEHOLD THE WORDS
OF A BROKEN HEART
LAY THERE AND QUIVER.

ONCE QUIET AND FEW
NOW BOLD AND NEW
WITH QUITE A RUMBLE.

AN IMPRESSION WEIGHS;
HARD AND PERMANENT
OF ONE SO HUMBLE.

Congrats again Entirety, well deserved. For the rest please support a great poetess by purchasing her book on Amazon.
