TOTALITY - 21 AUGUST SOLAR ECLIPSE

Well, its here, a solar eclipse. Everyone in talking about, as the last time a solar eclipse travelled across North America was back in 1979. I would have been in diapers and would not have remembered this rare and mystical event. So, I learnt a few neat things
researching this event. One was that this event is unique to our planet. That no other planet that we have discovered will have a total solar eclipse. Second, this event won't continue to happen as the moon is moving away from Earth 3-6 cm every year.

However, for now, the event is still in existence, but I will not get to experience an total eclipse or what scientists call "totality". Where the moon totally blocks the sun, which allows you to see the corona, which is the sun's atmosphere. This is a remarkable view from what Bob McDonald explains "looks like a combination of highly polished sliver and rabbit's fur."
To me that kind of description only elaborates how a person is lost for words when witnessing it, and this will only happen in around a 100-km band that will across the Continent, from Oregano to South Carolina tomorrow.

Just remember, NOT to look at it directly or this brief spectacle could cause serious eye damage. It is especially dangerous for those who will only witness a partial eclipse So, I don't know about you, but I prefer to keep my sight. Click here for more detail about how to see the eclipse safely

CREEPING ACROSS DARKEN SKY
 LUNA EMBODIES
OUR CELESTIAL BEING.

POPULACE WILL BE CONSUMED
HUDDLED TOGETHER IN AWE
WITH SHADED EYES.

THE CORONA FLARES
YET MYSTICAL ENVELOPS
FAITH SUDDENLY CALLS.

QUESTIONS OF EXISTENCE
HOLDS IN OUR HEARTS
AS THE SKY FALLS.

So, I hope you all the chance to experience the eclipse. Oh, and forget to share both pictures and comments of this event here. I would enjoy to see how the rest of North America witnessed this rare event.
